Frequently Asked Questions: Why can't I rebuild my own DataMart in the County?

Question

Why can't I rebuild my own DataMart in the County?

Answer

In the past, Wyoming Counties were able to initiate a rebuild of their local DataMart at any time.  However, recently several issues have been uncovered that make this practice impractical.  Due to some security concerns and the overall fragile nature of the nightly data replication to the State, this ability has been indefinitely suspended.
Regardless, the current DataMart replication process forces this data to be rebuilt nightly.  This is an automated process that is initiated directly by the Oracle database and is monitored, not only by the DOR, but by CCI as well.
If your County experiences a need to have the DataMart rebuilt immediately, you may still contact CCI’s customer support to have this done.  Remember, the DataMart rebuild process requires a substantial amount of computer resources to complete.  Subsequently, you may experience some performance degradation until the process is complete.
