The veteran owns property within the county with his son.  The veteran does qualify as a combat veteran as specified by Statute and Rule.  Is the veteran eligible for the exemption on this property? 

Answer

Yes.  This statute was changed in 2008 and is now allowed.  The veteran's name must appear on the title, this new statutory language creates a number of different opportunities for the veteran to use the exemption. A few examples of these opportunities are (partnership, LLC, single owner, trust).
