In the Veteran's Exemption Database, how do I handle a deceased veteran, or in some cases, the deceased spouse? 

Answer

The Veteran and their spouse should appear on the same record.  Each person has a "Date Deceased" associated with their name.  This is the best way to identify any person who is now deceased.  Remember, when the Veteran's Date Deceased is filled in, the record will require you to change the Qualification from Veteran to Widow(er).
