 Abstract:
 Taxing Entities consist of a group of people who organize
 to tax themselves for specific purposes. These may include,
 but are not limited to: improvement and service districts
 for repairing or replacing a local road; water and sewer to
  provide infrastructure to a rural area for water and sewer
 facilities; conservation districts to help protect natural
 resources; and fire to provide fire protection services to
 rural areas, etc.
 Purpose:
 The purpose for creating statewide entity coverages is to
 display the extent of each entity type. In addition, the
 statewide coverages provide easy identification of Entity
 ID numbers and boundaries of the different types of
 entities. This coverage is helpful for Counties as well as
 for industry use.

 Attribute accuracy is as accurate as our PLSS at 1:24000,
 and information provided from taxing entities.
 Logical_Consistency_Report:
 All data is consistent with the PLSS. All polygons are
 complete, closed and attributed. Some overlapping polygons
 may exist due to human error.
 Completeness_Report:
 The data is complete according to the Property Tax Division -
 Technical Service Group's records, and the records provided
 by the taxing entities and/or Counties.

 Most data was created using USGS 7.5 minute Topographic
 Maps at 1:24000 scale, registered by ArcGIS and projected
 in a consistent manner. Therefore, the horizontal accuracy
 is assumed to be within National Map Accuracy Standards.

 that are provided by the taxing entities. In turn, the
 entities are digitally registered to our base map at
  1:24000 via COGO, heads-up digitizing, or from shape files
 or CAD files provided from Counties or Municipalities. The
 entities are then combined to form tax districts, or into
 statewide entity files after changes have been made for
 the current tax year and the Assessment Date has passed.
